The Big Seven 15 model is tailored to the entry level mountain biker and recreational rider, looking for an affordable rig with the best price to spec ratio available. The latest generation aluminium frame features even slimmer tube shapes, paired with a more relaxed geometry created by a shorter top tube and a higher head tube to offer a comfortable upright riding position and enhanced trail visibility. The 27.5" wheels impress with nimble riding characteristics. The 100m travel SR Suntour fork helps to improve comfort, while the Shimano Tourney 3x8 speed drivetrain offers an extra wide gear range, letting you conquer even the steepest hills with ease. Then when its time to head down, hydraulic disc brakes ensure all conditions stopping power.

Merida is an international bike brand with its headquarters in Taiwan, the R&D department is based near Stuttgart in Germany. To be based in Germany has historical reasons for MERIDA but the precise location was chosen specifically because the region around Stuttgart is one of the hot spots of the automotive and machine building industry which Germany is famous for and attracts a hugely skilled design and engineer labor force.

The Merida team are more than just highly trained and experienced bicycle creators – they simply love everything ‘bike’.
