Hard-hitting and bike park proof. The One Sixty FR 600 takes Merida’s award-winning aluminium enduro frame and pumps up the attitude to make it ideal for hard riders and bike park heavy hitters. Mixed wheels for fun handling, plus there's a tough 180 mm travel DVO Onyx fork with 38 mm legs paired with a plush DVO Jade coil shock at the rear, all controlled by Merida’s FAST kinematic suspension so you can consistently hit lines, run after run. Quality suspension needs quality brakes, so they’ve gone big with those, while Shimano's dependable Deore does drivetrain duties.

The One Sixty FR builds on the solid platform of Merida’s award-winning One Sixty, but cranks the volume up. It's built tough so that you can hit the bike park all day long, or just rip the toughest tracks and trails time after time, safe in the knowledge that the bike won't let you down. To boost the capability, they've added in longer travel forks pushing out 180 mm travel paired with coil shocks delivering 171 mm of rear wheel travel, mounted on their tough aluminium chassis. Running a mixed 29" front and 27.5" rear wheel size for maximum manoeuvrability, whether you're ripping turns or sending it hard. However, you can switch to a full 29er setup without impacting the geometry, thanks to Merida’s flip-chip system. AGILOMETER sizing allows riders to run a longer or shorter reach frame independently of their height. At the same time, the suspension becomes more progressive as you size up, and all bikes are fitted with long-travel dropper posts.

Merida Dual Suspension Bike Sizing Chart

Merida is an international bike brand with its headquarters in Taiwan, the R&D department is based near Stuttgart in Germany. To be based in Germany has historical reasons for MERIDA but the precise location was chosen specifically because the region around Stuttgart is one of the hot spots of the automotive and machine building industry which Germany is famous for and attracts a hugely skilled design and engineer labor force.

The Merida team are more than just highly trained and experienced bicycle creators – they simply love everything ‘bike’. Most of their R&D staff are daily bike commuters while others are serious mountain bikers, who regularly compete in Marathon, Enduro and Downhill competitions, or licensed road racers and even ambitious Ironman triathletes. Get the behind the scenes view of the Merida R&D centre and meet some of their key members of staff in the below video.
