The Scultura Rim 100 model features the ever-reliable Shimano Claris groupset, which offers precise shifting with brilliant control for smooth, silent and crisp performance on the road. The crankset and optimised cassette will ensure you have the range to climb mountains with ease and be able to spin along the flat without tiring. To keep weight to a minimum, Merida have taken the decision to use rim brakes. If you talk to any climbing or retro enthusiasts, they'll tell you nothing provides the same level of feedback as rim brakes - and they're not wrong! This Bike is a great mid-range road bike for commuting or casual weekend group rides. With its nimble handling and comfort, the Scultura Rim 100 is a dynamic bike ideal for most amateurs. Merida have designed this with edgy and innovative technology contrasted against the simplicity of rim brakes to provide you with a slick ride that is both fast and fun. If you're after an enthralling ride, look no further.

Merida Scultura Bike Sizing Chart

Merida is an international bike brand with its headquarters in Taiwan, the R&D department is based near Stuttgart in Germany. To be based in Germany has historical reasons for MERIDA but the precise location was chosen specifically because the region around Stuttgart is one of the hot spots of the automotive and machine building industry which Germany is famous for and attracts a hugely skilled design and engineer labor force.

The Merida team are more than just highly trained and experienced bicycle creators – they simply love everything ‘bike’. Most of their R&D staff are daily bike commuters while others are serious mountain bikers, who regularly compete in Marathon, Enduro and Downhill competitions, or licensed road racers and even ambitious Ironman triathletes. Get the behind the scenes view of the Merida R&D centre and meet some of their key members of staff in the below video.
