Fast and lightweight, the Speeder shares its genes with Merida’s Road bike range. The geometry offers an extended reach for added stability while providing a more upright and comfortable riding position. The sporty yet comfort inspired geometry paired with control enhancing flat handlebars and powerful disc brakes make the Speeder ideal for fast commuting or fitness rides. Wider tyres and more tyre clearance underline the comfort element even further and give the Speeder more grip when it counts.
The entry model into Merida’s Speeder range, the Speeder 100 brings the same high-quality aluminum frame and full carbon fork to the table as its more high-end family members but combines it with high-value components. Powerful disc brakes enable perfect speed control, while the broad gear range of the triple chain ring drivetrain makes climbing a breeze and keeps top speeds high. Multiple fixing points allow bottle cages, fenders, kickstand and a rear rack to be fitted. The 100 is an enjoyable and affordable flat-bar flyer for fitness, commuting and everyday riding.

Merida Speeder Bike Sizing Chart
Merida is an international bike brand with its headquarters in Taiwan, the R&D department is based near Stuttgart in Germany. To be based in Germany has historical reasons for MERIDA but the precise location was chosen specifically because the region around Stuttgart is one of the hot spots of the automotive and machine building industry which Germany is famous for and attracts a hugely skilled design and engineer labor force.
The Merida team are more than just highly trained and experienced bicycle creators – they simply love everything ‘bike’. Most of their R&D staff are daily bike commuters while others are serious mountain bikers, who regularly compete in Marathon, Enduro and Downhill competitions, or licensed road racers and even ambitious Ironman triathletes. Get the behind the scenes view of the Merida R&D centre and meet some of their key members of staff in the below video.
